Sports Photography conitinued

Name of the photographer: Alyssa Schukar
General Focus: Sports and emotion

1. What the judges found wrong with the portfolio was each picture is similar, have the same lenses and not enough detail, not enough strong singles, not a lot of emotion to dark.
2. The girl falling picture. They thought that had a lot of detail and was interesting. They also like the guy sweeping in the Caribbean. They thought that was a really good picture and showed a lot of detail.
3. I was not a big fan of this portfolio. I felt it could of been done much better. There was not a lot of detail and most of the photos were dark and blurry.
4. I did like the running and Caribbean picture. Those were the best ones. They had a lot of detail to them. They showed some type of emotion. Very good quality picture.

Dustin Snipes portfolio:
1. The quality in his pictures. The creativity. How he takes pictures that make him look like hes right there.
2. I saw as strengths were his creativity. He was making pictures really come alive. He made it seem as if the person looking at the picture is in the photo. He also had a lot of good quality, detailed pictures. I did not see any weakness at all. The only weakness I saw was with the picture that he photo shopped. If he would had left it alone it would of been a much better picture.

Contest Recap:
I agree with the goose hitting the runner photo for being first place. Its a really good moment and its creative and it shows a lot of action going on. It really catches the eye and its just a very good photo that was taken.

I did not agree with them on the swimming photo. I feel that photo should of gotten second place. It showed a lot of interest. It was a cool photo taken. It had a great amount of detail and it was eye appealing. The creativity was good and its just a good picture over all.
